RE:RE:RE:Verde launches Bio RevolutionEven with all the brilliant scientists around the world, up until now it had not been commercially viable to incorporate microorganisms into agritech in a commercially viable way ... this is literally a world first, as the news release says, and they now have "first mover advantage." Serious kudos to CV and the scientists behind this. No wonder CV was so excited and said this tech would "catapult" the company "far ahead" of where its competitors are now.
Brazil's soil is largely clay, so they need more applications of potash and rebuilding of nutrients than in many other places. Plus soil erosion. Plus more extreme weather patterns. This product really meets the needs of farmers in Brazil (and elsewhere) ... had read a few articles on microorganisms and it was clear that the importance of bringing microorganisms back to the soil was profoundly important and could not be overstated. I remember seeing a video of CV talking about how farmers and those in the know were earnestly asking for a solution for more nutrition in fertilizer (sulfur) -- now they add microorganisms. Indeed, the company "makes the product better and better."
The world’s expanding population and worsening climate crisis have put increased pressure on the farmland that is in use, driving operators to find more efficient operations and make more food with less land and resources. The UN has reported that the world’s agricultural production will have to increase by 60% between 2010 and 2050 to feed the world.
