RE:RE:One week until Q1 releaseMy guess is it gets upward analyst revisions next Thursday before the market starts.
The unknown exec share based performace bonus charge is unlikely to factor into analyst models that will be updated on Wednesday.
Without the performance bonus charge, this would be a no brainer buy at these prices. ex-share price performance charge funds flow is likely to be 50% more than the prior quarter (about as good as it ever gets).
Long term investors will see throught this one time charge (institutions), while day traders may not. Day traders on the other hand, tend to follow the momentum.
It will be very interesting to see what happens on Wednesday and Thursday. I'm fully invested. Nevertheless I bought more yesterday in the $9's (a combination of oil price softness, US dollar strength, general market down day, made it too attractive not to).
Other news that is likely to get analyst upgrades is the expansion of H2 cap ex. They previously stated information on H2 plans will be shared in May. That information may accompany the Q1 results. If not, it should be 1-3 weeks thereafter.
Then we have the debt reststructuring which should be a major positive in that it will free the company to pay a dividend. The debt restructuring is probably presently underway. That information could come out anytime in the next 3 months (May, June, July)
This is a transformative year for OBE - meaning the share price will transform too as the company goes from being higher risk over leveraged, into low risk, low debt, high growth, dividend paying
Here we are about 1/3 of the way through.
