Now let's see.  You are claiming that there is no Jason Miller, or no Mark Meadows?  Or is it you believe someone else is the White House Chief of Staff?  You don’t specify what you consider to be “fake”, so I have no way of telling if you are right or not.  Maybe you are right?  It is all fake.  Everything only a dream of a memory.  Maybe I was wrong, who knows, but calling names is kind of old stuff, if you know what I mean.

I saw a clip on fake news today of an old Ukrainian woman who was 3 years old when the second world war ended.  It remined me that I was also born in wartime; my father was hunting U-boats in the North Atlantic that autumn.  Twenty years later when I joined the fleet, the tradition remained of painting a “Blue-nose” on the bow of a ship that had operated north of the Artic circle a trip he made several times.

I can only imagine how that jeep carrier, a cargo ship with a flat top, rolled in the North Atlantic storms while delivering the weapons of war to our European allies.   But I did find that stepping out into the Atlantic after a 6 months cruise in the “Med”, was like stepping out into a hurricane force wind – but one made of water.  Thirty-foot waves tossing destroyers up and down like toys in a bathtub.  Seeing a tenth or more of another ship’s hull sticking out beyond a wave’s crest, and a minute later perhaps only the top of its mast visible as we dropped down again.

Oh, yes, I was explaining how you shouldn’t waste your potty-mouth breathe trying to use naughty words to offend this ol’ salt.  Cussing out a sailor has got to be one of the silliest thing imaginable.
