Capstone Copper Corp. is a copper producer operating in the Americas. It is engaged in the production of and exploration of base metals in the United States (US), Mexico, and Chile, with a focus on copper. The Company, through a wholly owned Chilean subsidiary, Mantos Copper S.A., owns and operates the Mantos Blancos mine, located 45 kilometers (km) northeast of Antofagasta, Chile and the 70%-owned Mantoverde mine, through a subsidiary, Mantoverde S.A., located 50 km southeast of Chanaral, Chile. It owns and operates the Pinto Valley mine located in Arizona, US, Cozamin mine located in Zacatecas, Mexico, and has a portfolio of exploration properties in Mexico. RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:MarketYa, they are going through a long and complicated process of re-writing their constitution. So little committees are coming up with many different options hoping to they make it to final draft. But each proposal needs like 2/3 of the approval from the elected house. So while the small committees come up with "nationalize all mines" they generally won't get approved to make it into the new constitution. Because even this new constitution needs to win a vote of the entire population, so if they put in anything too crazy they risk not having a new consitution and defaulting back to their current one. In general, I expect some higher taxes, stricter rules on water/environment (salination plants! are key) but not losing sleep over capstone losing assets to Chile government.
