RE:EIA reduces US production after the fact....again LOL Your observation is bang on BSW. The actual production in the US is not keeping up with the production levels predicted by the models in the EIA weekly updates. The last weekly update said current US production is 11.9 million bpd... this looks unlikely in light of the EIA's February production report.
US Shale Oil is faced with steep decline on existing wells, a depleted inventory of DUC wells, and geological and logistical challenges in the drilling of new wells. IMO US producers are doing a good job just to keep production relatively flat given the situation they are faced with.
