This and that We can debate the new corporate logo and rebranding for Northland Power. But why not change the name also.
Maybe one day the company will be in Australia or Vietnam. Northland would sound rather geographic. Unless want to keep the Canadian identity.
Something like--Orsted kept its Danish identity when it went into renewable energy. Yet it is a global company. The world's largest offshore windfarm developer was once into oil, gas and coal. (DONG)
The new name – rsted – references the innovative Danish scientist Hans Christian rsted (1777-1851). rsted spearheaded several scientific discoveries, including the discovery of electromagnetism in 1820, which helped lay the scientific foundation for how today's societies are powered.
"We have undertaken significant efforts to find the right name and brand identity for our company. Our new name recognises H.C. rsted's curiosity, dedication and interest in nature and our brand identity speaks to the innovation and profound understanding of nature, which is vital to create a world that runs entirely on green energy."

Go figure. Warren Buffet buys into Occidental Petroleum 10% (March 2022), while Carl Icahm, climate activist, sells 10% for a billion dollar profit. Maybe Carl can sell Buffet some Renewable Energy Credits? Green is the colour.

Well it's May. "Sell in May and Go Away"?
