RE:RE:RE:NG Fill Season Prediction Chart... Why NG Prices Stay HI!back in the 90's I worked as a heavy fuel oil cargo oil trader in eastern Canada. For a short while, I essentially had the whole market to myself. At first, I was doing very well then things started to slow down. The problem was the new kid on the block, natural gas. Well the major refiners at the time were not amused. So rather than blame their own upstream divisions , they decided to collude and get rid of me as competition. I still thank them for that as nobody uses heavy fuel oil anymore to supply the power industry. The one trophy that I keep for myself, is that I supplied the very last HFO cargo for many of the great consumers at the time (Niagara Mohawk used to consume 6 million barrels per year)
Well fast forward and I got involved in other ventures, none of which came close to providing all the thrills of OIl trading. Until Now, and that thrill is being provided by my old nemesis nat gas.
So I am sitting here typing things out to all my new found friends telling them what ever I can think of that may be useful to them. It is so very wonderful to be back in the saddle !!
