RE:Problems in the patch ..One huge issue that no one in government will ever mention , is that the evaluation placed on the share prices of petroleum companies is so low that it is more profitable on a risk adjusted basis for a petroleum enterprise to grow either by acquisitions , or share buybacks , than through drilling !!
And why do these persistently low share valuations persist ? Well anyone who is not a politician understands that !! Sudden releases of copious volumes from the SPR in order to fight the midterms does not inspire confidence. Only an egotistic narcissist could ever believe that he can fool everyone time and again without consequences. Well payback time is now !! They asked for it and they are going to get it BOO HOO !!
