The Draganfly Medical Response Drone is equipped with our innovative temperature managed payload box, which is able to maintain cold chain requirements for temperature-sensitive medical supplies. The Payload Box can be uniquely top mounted for ease of access, or bottom mounted for quick release missions.
The payload is the weight a drone or unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) can carry. It is usually counted outside of the weight of the drone itself and includes anything additional to the drone – such as extra cameras, sensors, or packages for delivery. Very large UAVs – the type that you can’t buy as a commercial business, but similar to the ones used in the military – have much larger payloads than the drones we’re able to buy.
The greater a payload your drone can carry, the more flexibility you have to pop on additional technology to adapt it to your specific needs. This could be upgrading the camera to a dual thermal and RGB imaging system, adding LiDAR technology, sticking on a GPS system, or increasing the number of sensors in order to process more data simultaneously.
