I can't believe " farming in the desert" , it's amazing that they have been doing it for decades....I don't know if there is an answer , for the water shortage. Was reading an article that says farming irrigation takes 3/4 of the total water that Arizona uses....again to me this is really something else....some day a partial answer will be diverting the fresh water that gets dumped into the Hudson Bay, really a waste of good water ...if you can ship oil by pipeline , water will be easy...
