Green lending in Brazil supported by IFChttps://pressroom.ifc.org/all/pages/PressDetail.aspx?ID=26922
Interesting how the IFC has been backing green lending initiatives in Brazil. Investment in smart agri is a major and unstoppable wave, in Brazil and globally, and Verde is riding that inexorable wave. A pro small cap analyst was saying, start by finding an industry that will do well, and then find a company that you think will do better than most in that industry. I think Verde would fit that bill.
Goodness knows, if farmers don't adopt products like Verde's en masse (especially with the many microbes to be introduced that will lessen nitrogen fertilizer need). I've noticed some food items being sold in much smaller packages at the grocery store. There was an article about Big Macs at McDonald's being smaller now. Sadly, this is all just getting started.
My sense is that we haven't grasped the whole story behind the microbes and how Verde is morphing into almost a "pharma" equivalent in the agriculture world. Fertilizers are medicine to crops, and some companies (I think it was Mosaic) have been investing a billion dollars into such research.
