RE:BruttalIMO, this is all related to recession fears, and silver gets hurt much worse than gold because it has more of an industrial element in demand than gold with its heavier monetary component.
Broadly speaking, investors are fearful and not understanding what's to come in the near term. Hence, everything gets sold.
However, and as you probably know, the expanding stagflation almost guarantees that precious metals-related issues will rocket beyond many other counter-cyclicals soon enough.
Time for bottom feeding and patience.
