Fasten your toque with a brooch The historic mineral resources of the Kiniero project date from 2020. Over the past 2 years, numerous drillings have been carried out by Sycamore's geologist team. As mentioned in the press release, Robex is also financing an infill drilling program as well as drilling near the mine. All of these new results will necessarily have a positive influence on the calculation of resources. The current estimate is 2.1 million ounces of gold.
Regarding the Mansounia permit, the first intention was to mine this deposit using a heap leach technique. Considering that this technique does not provide a recovery rate comparable to the CIL technique, the next estimate will be different. The current estimate is 1.3 million ounces of gold.
Whether it is for the Kiniero exploitation permits or for the Mansounia exploration permit, the next mineral resource estimate will be established according to different parameters. Robex's operational efficiencies make it profitable to mine very low-grade ores, which reduces the cut-off grade and therefore adds significant amounts of mineral resources that were once considered waste.
For the moment, the acquisition of Sycamore by Robex increases the mineral resources by 3.4 million ounces of gold to the 700,000 already established for the Nampala project, for a total of 4.1 million ounces. Given the changes in parameters and all the results that will be considered in Kiniero's next 43-101, this new total could reach 5,000,000 ounces of gold, and possibly more.
The publication of the 43-101 is scheduled for the next few weeks, which will initiate the final acquisition process. Based on the recalculation of resources and the closing of the acquisition, I consider this to be 2 very good news in one. Kiniero will definitely be the largest gold development project in West Africa, which should echo throughout the community.
