Monique gold zones continue to expand Copy of Seema's email regarding this morning's release: Good morning,
Today, we reported
the first set of results from the 2022 drill program on the Monique property (see attached NR). These results build on the previously reported results from the 52,000-metre 2021 drill program.
The results are from
28 holes from the 2022 resource
expansion and infilling drill program over the
Monique gold zones.
Here are the important highlights:
- Monique gold zones continue to expand along strike and depth
- Expansion drilling returned
- 6.0 g/t Au over 16.4 metres
- 1.9 g/t Au over 18.3 metres, all at shallow depths
- Infill drilling continues to confirm resource, returning
- 3.0 g/t Au over 13.2 metres and 3.9 g/t Au over 8.9 metres and 2.3 g/t Au over 8.0 metres near surface inside Monique Gold Trend’s open-pittable deposits
- Over 72,000 metres of drilling completed year-to-date at VDE project
- 9 drills active on the Val-d’Or East (VDE) project including 6 on the Monique Gold Trend
Our 2022 drill program remains on track. We have completed nearly half of the 150,000-metre drill program in the first four months of the year. The drill results thus far (2021 and 2022 programs) continue to increase our confidence in the current resource at Monique and show the exploration upside this deposit holds.
Expansion drilling at Monique thus far has returned thick intersections of gold mineralization,
typically above the average resource grades. We are seeing a gradual shift towards thicker, higher-grade material as we further delineate the gold systems at Monique.
Infill drilling continues to
strengthen the resource and the current block model with respect to grades and continuity.
All intercepts listed in today's news release will be included in the updated resource for the Val-d’Or East project, which will form the basis of the prefeasibility study (PFS) expected to be completed in 2023.
Overall, these results will help build ounces in the next resource update as we advance the project towards development. In addition to advancing another step closer to production, this year’s drilling program is also demonstrating the potential for Val-d’Or East to continue increasing in scale and value and to compete in an active gold market.

Of the 150,000m drill program, the 2022 winter drill program totalling over
72,000m is already completed with the remaining to be completed by year-end.
We look forward to reporting more drill results soon.
