Is there no honor among deadbeats?Simon Houpt shares on
Twitter the court documents of Postmedia's statement of claim against Media Central. Honestly, you couldn't find two scuzzier parties in a legal dispute, even in magistrate's court after a Sudbury Saturday night.
Postmedia's beloved founder, Conrad Moffat Black, allegedly loved to help himself to workers' pension funds, and was celebrated as an extended guest of the federal lockup facility in Coleman, Florida. (Incidentally, he was sprung from the hoosegow on May 4, 2012, so happy 10 year anniversary, Conrad. Imagine, an entire decade without a reported recidivist act. We're all so proud of you.) So, imagine the chagrin experienced by the Postmedia group of goniffs who find themselves stiffed for $92k by some pischerke such as Uncle Kirk MacDonald of Media Central. Next thing you know, Media Central executives will be breaking into National Post street boxes to grab toonies to use for subway fare.
One thing is obvious. Media Central would never think of using the looted toonies to pay their staff.
