RE:RE:RE:Slightly different vid posted on the Axe twitter feed....Well L.A. this is just my speculation and I'm a complete 'no-nothing in engineering
layman' but, just out of curiosity I did a little research. Found a company that makes
storage tanks. Just from the vid and pic of the tanks on their site, they maybe known
as 'AST-100' standard vertical tanks that have a 100 cubic meters volume capacity.
The dimensions of these AST tanks are 6 meters high and 4.7m in diameter. So all
we can do without being there, is to make an educated guess from the pictures just
eye-balling and using visual perspective of the surrounding stuctures, to guess how
big the tanks might be?
Then I found a calculator that converts cubic meters to US bbl oil. Apparently (who
knows if this is correct), US bbl oil = m³ * 6.2898 so, 100 cubic m = 628.9811US bbl oil.
No idea if US bbl oil are measure and calculated differently from Canadian barrels?
So, I know this is ludicrous (actually crazy) just guessing at this but, this may be a
start for someone like Whampoa to take it further from here. He certainly likes to get
deep into tech/engineering details on this stuff.
And yes Whampoa, good catch of the extra tank being added. I estimated that extra
tank was added sometime after April 28 as the pic (only one tank) they used on their
website, with the NR announcing a RF XL update together with the mngmt change,
was published April 28. But who knows for sure as they could have just used and
old photo?
Anyway all just all my 2 centsworth, so, no nasty comments from anyone (thankyou) for
my efforts to try and help out. Don't know if any of this helps or works for you L.A.
