RE:RE:RE:News soonEaglehaslanded.........I am not a geo, but this what I know...........
.......The Llanos basin has characteristically a very predictable pattern historically, for geo's that have studied it in depth. The stratigrapy is well defined and goes back to the Paleozoic Era, and particularily we are dealing with the Carboniferous periods for the plantlife turned into oil.......................so that going down 10,000 feet you go through about 25 different rock units.
The Carbinera ( C1 thru 8 ) sequence (Early Oligoscene) are the first oil bearing layers hit.................C 7 is prolific in the whole basin as there are impermiable shale rocks at C6 that act as a dome type seal from above..........in concert with 3 way faults...........we happen to have 6 falts on our block........it is high quality 40 API light oil derived from deltaic-marine environments historically........... with no associated gas.............so we are thumbs up for ESG credits !
Down deeper is the Gacheta..........RCE 1 hit Gacheta B -11 feet and D-18 feet (not producing yet) but scheduled for rework in Q3
Below that there is the Ubaque as well. that will be turned on in the rework of this well. This is historical on the RCE 1
The RCE 2 just drilled is located about 1 km south of RCE 1, and is only the 2nd well drilled ever on this virgin block of 100 square miles
I have no geo info on Carizzales, but the pool drifts onto our block and is thicker and up higher in stratigrapthy according to the 3D siezmic
The Mirador is just below the Carbinara C8 and I don't know if it is a target on our block
Bob Petryk operations manager in Coumbia (with 20 employees) and Phil Miller VP Exploration, both have 40 years in this business and have tagged into a large geological database developed by Canacol in the basin( they also own 20 % of our stock and we have 2 of their guys on our board)..............these people seem very serious at getting things moving at these oil prices.............timing could not have been more perfect !
Hope this helps !
