The tailings are benign, resembling beach sand, and will be dewatered and dry stacked until they are returned to the excavation prior to restoration with reserved soil and maple trees grown on site. There will be no kerosene in use on site.
There are no "any number of pollutants" threatening the Carson watershed. That is a myth.
