RE:RE:READING BETWEEN THE LINES OF THE NEWS RELEASEStarsearcher80 wrote: OH MY GAWD, THIS IS EVEN MORE MESSED UP!! I just realized something else that is just SO disturbing about this release.
So, read the following:
Canopy Growth Corp. will release its financial results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year 2022 ended March 31, 2022, before financial markets open on May 27, 2022.
But then, further in the release, note the following:
Management will address a limited number of questions relating to Canopy Growth's business and financial results during the Q&A portion of the conference call. The platform will open on May 20, 2022, at 10 a.m. ET and close on May 26, 2022, at 10 a.m. ET.
So the company wants to only answer a limited number of questions, and the questions have to be submitted in the 6 days PRIOR to the release even being in people's hands? They're supposed to make up questions on something they won't even know the contents of?? How messed up is that??!!
This is SO seriously messed up, it is beyond all comprehension, and again, it's something I've NEVER even heard of a company even attempting to do. It is clear avoidance, and a COMPLETE mockery of what a quarterly report and ensuing discussion is supposed to be about. People, imho this is a company in now FULL damage control, and it is so blatently obvious in this release. If you read between the lines, there is only ONE conclusion.
This quarter will be a complete disaster.
Not that I even need this post to know WEED will not have a good quarter based on the competition, this is a very good reflexion. Since I am working, I don't have the time to read too much on too many companies. I always try to contradict the news that I read to find what it is wrong with them. There are so many. Busy as I am, I probably wouldn't have seen it. If I shorted WEED a few weeks before the HOUSE voted, that forced me to cover, my broker don't allow me to short WEED. I don't care, ACB is less risky.
As for risks, the Senate vote is the main risk, the day they announce the vote, I will have already covered if not all.
