RE:Tom's vendetta ActuallyI don't think Arnold started all this; yes seller's remorse but he wasn't rinning for mayor and I don't think he was interested in that either at the time.
Le Gris bought the land around Calumet Falls wanting to put in a resort and showcase the little falls and not a bad idea at all but he didn't get a building permit or seek CPTAQ's approval and like a bull in a china shop started to build a lookout platform and just went right ahead slapping lumber together, no foundation or regard for soil structure just hammering boards togother and the whole mess collapsed the riverbank into the river and the town planner slapped a stop work order on the project. Le Gris was mad as hell and blamed Saywell who was the mayor at the time although he had nothing to do withit but there was a footpath on Saywell's property close to the falls that led to a riding stable nearby as well and Le Gris wanted at him sohe was looking at having Saywell centured for conflict of interest because Saywell's spouse could walk on this unauthorized path to the riding stable as she did at thimes. Well that wasn't going down anytime soon and about this time it has been suggested that Arnold approached Bruce to get a contract to clear the mine site and was turned down because Bruce wanted the trees for a sound barrier. Now Arnold is bitter. Le Gris can't make anything go with the path so he jumps on the mine which Saywell and council had approved and starts posting poctures of Bingham Canyon and oversized trucks and all matter of disaster going to fall on the good citizens of gslr and thus he coopted Arnold, Alex, Sunce, Fillion and assorted others with Arnold still smarting from being turned down and losing a fortune that sat under his feet for years; and they knew where the graphite was because it's right on surface right in the open, and one of the old tram cars was rusted out and in the pit!.
