RE:RE:Article

RE:RE:ArticleThe Panel, the ones who just spent a month listening to everyone, has up to 90 days to complete their report and hand over their findings to the Fed and Provincial Environmental Ministers.

This is a Joint Review and process by both the Feds and Provincial Governments.

That hand over of the report would have to be done by August 19th, but it could be done faster.

The two Environment Ministers then have up to 120 days to agree with the findings, not agree, ask for changes etc and say whether the project can go ahead or not. That would be December 19th at the latest.

But they too could take less time.

Drew seems to think that both the Panel that just completed the hearings, and the Fed and Provincial Ministers, will complete their work sooner than the mandatory timelines, and hence has suggested that it may all be done by October, rather than the Dec19th legislated timeline.

Would be nice. But December 19th will still allow for permits to be completed for the first quarter of 2023 and construction to start around that time........assuming the Governments approve the project.
