RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Two questions on Friday the 13th As colossal a dingbat as Kirk may be, he has left little to compare with the legacy of stoopid created by Mr. Brain Knish. Readers of this thread may need to refesh their memories of Brain Knish's historic climbdown
here. I was impressed by the detail of Kirk and his partner-in-slime having chanced upon Brain Knish in a downtown Toronto bar. This could be a plot device out of a novel by Charles Bukowski, or perhaps John Kennedy Toole's "Confederacy of Dunces."
Speaking of Kirk, can @Tigers22 or @NOWEmployee kindly answer a question that has been raised on this forum: What is Kirk doing in Canada, anyway? His work visa would have expired after he got the heave-ho from Torstar. I doubt that he has an investor's visa, as he strikes me as the sort of deadbeat who loves to p*** away other people's money, but spends his own cash on Leafs tickets and Morton's steaks. Why is he here, and when might we expect he will he be deported back to Denver?
NOWemployee wrote: @Tigers22, I'm an ex NOW employee. I've never worked for the Georgia Straight until Kirk came on board and we became one big disfunctional family. I re-read your posts and you seem to know a lot about what's going on with Kirk. Are you a NOW employee? I know you're not on the editorial team as you would know who Charlie Smith is from Georgia Straight. And really there is only Radheyan Simonpillai and Glen Sumi left. You mention the good old days of the parties, maybe you're a client? There were some really great parites and those were the good ol days but they ended a decade ago. I worked on Church St (the good ol days) and Spadina. The door code for the Spadina office was 2359. Taking that crappy elevator upstairs. Kirk standing outside chain smoking. Kalish set up in Alice's old office and demanded everyone come in and no longer WFH, Even during the first weeks of the pandemic Kalish fired two staff for saying over Slack they were self isolating. Is that enough for you to believe I'm not from GS? I wish Laura the best of luck with her lawsuit. Sadly even if she wins she won't see any money, none of the creditors or investors will. It's all gone to Xigem and when that goes bankrupt they'll have another new company to pump up the stock and do it all over.
