RE:Pepe Escobar: Russian Resource Advantage In Hybrid War

RE:Pepe Escobar: Russian Resource Advantage In Hybrid WarA fascinating article even though there is a lot in there I disagree with and smacks of Russian propaganda.

Czar Putin has been planning for this all a very long time by transferring mountains of gold, palladium, nickel, etc. under his personal control - to the tune of hundreds of billions of dollars. And as I previously posted the Russians are experts at black market activities having perfected it all under the Soviet era. So these sanctions will not be hurting them as much as we think - and particularly the former KGB elites who have wealth beyond imagination.

In the overall scheme of things what is the loss of a few yachts, jets, accounts? Sad to say it is the Western consumer who will bear the cost and burden and not the Russian elites or even the Russian people. Putin has made sure that there is plenty of reasonably priced food, energy, and goods for them. Can the West say the same for its people?
