RE:RE:RE:RE:Let's all remember this! That's what mayor's do Alex. They make decisions that would benefit their community. Tom convinced the town that the mine was bad with lies, embellishments and fear. It unfortunately worked.
Yet, I still can't get over the hypocracy here. If we were to go back to water mining, there has been absolutely no money spent on assessing any envornmental dangers of extracting water. Why hasnt Tom done that Alex? In fact, why does Tom disregard any safety studies regarding the Miller mine? When a bottled water comes in and has a contract for hundreds of millions of litres of water per year, they are going to take that water no matter what. So when Qc gets a drought and there's not enough water to go around, the bottle business still takes their share for profit. Alex and Tom don't care because its not in their self interest to care. If Tom ever cared about the environmental impact of anything, he should have stopped and evaluated the finite water robbery. There's absolutely nothing good that can occur when GSLR gives that valuable resource away. The city makes almost no money and the citizens receive absolutely nothing but possible envornmental grief. Instead of making that priority #1, Tom is irrationally fixated on a benign mine that will be used to advance clean energy.
