RE:RE:RE:If you're not betting on the 3 year plan Excellent point ZouZS3, then the question becomes one of strategy between stock picking or a diversified balanced/rebalancing low cost portfolio of ETFs. Very very very few people will outperform option no 2 in the long term. You don't believe me go read research of Dimensional Funds, outfit based in L.A. that runs close 1T in assets. Basically they only invest in a pool of ETFs emphasizing three dimensions: value, growth and momentum. Unfortunately human beings have an inherent character flaw it's called HUBRIS...I here proclaim that my wisdom and Savy can predict the future. I don't have an answer, I've been a stock picker all my life and it's serve me well , not to mention the thrill of picking a real winner. But at the end of the day I'm sure if I did a true analysis of my returns versus a diversified portfolio of ETFs well you guessed the answer. I know it's boring watching the paint dry over 30 years. At the end of the day it's up to each individual to choose the road that leads to Rome. Peace Long CBC, CTS, Ret.a, IDG
