Petro Canada and other national gas station providers are currently looking at the same thing. They have determined that people won't wait around even for a quick charge. Most gas stations have a lot of land so they are looking at offering services that a customer can use while waiting for the charge. Services now being looked at are a gym, restaurant, grocery store or specialty shopping like cell phones or electronics. This type of model appears to be most profitable for the major gas station chains and offers convenience to their customers. I'm not sure Mr. Lube has the square footage required to offer this but who knows.
Think about Mr Lube that are next to Walmarts, people can go shopping while the car is being charged.
