RE:RE:Longer Term "Stranded Assets" / musical chairsI was about to write similar, but you took the words right out of my mouth.
A bunch of left wing drivel, and i bet deep down they know their climate change plan ain't working so good. Desperation is showing.
Oldnagger wrote: THis is a typical article from theguardian.com . Their agenda is to bring down the price of OIL and Gas stocks with this now very common scare tactic. This has absolutely nothing to do about climate change. If it did , they would be publishing articles about the latest progress in sustainable non petroleum developments. The reason they do not report is because there is precious little to report. In fact , the globe is going in the exact opposite direction with ever increasing coal production.
The only viable solution at present is nat gas . That is why prices are streaming upwards and that is why reserve valuations will follow . And the NVA SP as well.
Why am I so cocksure of myself ? because evaluating alternatives was my job long before this era. the hype has changed but the physics has not. The only viable and repeatable project that I found that could be done on an economical basis was the recovery of methane gas from landfills. Not that the economic value of the recaptured methane was compelling, rather the real value lay in preventing the escape of the methane to the atmosphere as methane is 80 times more potent than CO2 as a GHG.
So are these rags promoting landfill gas recovery projects ?? The answer is they couldn't care less !!
