Atlas Salt Inc. is a Canada-based mineral exploration company. The Company is engaged in the evaluation, exploration, development and production of industrial mineral properties in Newfoundland and Labrador. The Company’s principal asset is the Great Atlantic salt deposit project (Great Atlantic Salt Project), located in the St. George Basin of western Newfoundland. Its Gypsum Project is three kilometers (km) southwest of Great Atlantic salt deposit, which is an early-stage and open-pit production from the Ace deposit. Its Nepheline Syenite Property consists of a surface occurrence of nepheline syenite along the southern Labrador highway. The project is located approximately six km from tide water.

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:spinco & SALT valuation Yes, Crunchmeister, "Canticle" brings out some valid points.  The 2 million tons annual production number is most likely as startup numbers (and it's a good number to start with) ie. year1.  When it's developed more they potentially could triple that or even more depending on how many continuous miners they put into use at one time.   Goderich produces between 6-7 million yearly just remember though they must hoist it 1750'. Their advantage is as long as the shaft stay intact they have an endless deposit at the 1750' level and the could also develop the 1000' level deposit above the working level if they so choose...it's the level Windsor mines at now.  Lots of history on both those mines. 
I can see the entire Eastern seaboard using Atlas and do it without importing especially now with the expense of fuel to ship it.  Good times await...
