RE:RE:U K blackouts predicted for next winter

RE:RE:U K blackouts predicted for next winterI live in Ottawa and we were without power for 5 days last week due to a storm. Half the people on our street went and got generators. Some of those who didn't (the stores ran out) are considering buying one for the next event.

If the grid isn't reliable, people will look to having their own back-ups. Perhaps one should invest in companies that make generators.

Yes, when they turn the power off it even makes it difficult to charge your new EV. But they will take pride knowing they are doing their part to save the planet. Or will they? How bad does it have to get before they begin to realize they have been shafted while someone else is getting rich off their misery.

They have been nattering about power blackouts in the U.S. for some time now. If that starts to happen with some regularity we will see how people react. Will it affect how people vote in places like California or do they have their head in the sand so far they can't tell if the lights are on or not.
