I'm quite shocked with GS's predictions given that they just watched MS eat a pile of crow, according to MS LCE is supposed to be around $7000 a ton right now. It certainly isn't a bold prediction to suggest the price will drop 10 percent, it's already dropped a bit, it can't keep rising forever but to suggest it's going to fall off a cliff is just not going to happen. I also think investors are much more educated about the market this time round. The only way I see a decrease in lithium demand is if other battery metals become in such short supply that the amount of batteries capable of being made is reduced so that as much lithium is not required.
