RE:Yes yes "Gold exploration in the Gander area during the 1980’s and early 1990’s resulted in the discovery of several gold occurrences, including the Knob and Bullet Prospects, along the south-western extension of the Appleton Linear to the south of the Trans Canada Highway (TCH). Exploration was carried out to the north-northeast along the Appleton Linear in the same time period extending into the 2000’s, by Noranda, Gander River Minerals, the KriASK Syndicate, United Carina Corp., Candente Resources, and Rubicon / Paragon / Sprott Resources. Work has included prospecting, line cutting, soil geochemistry, ground geophysical surveys (VLF-EM, Magnetics, IP), trenching and diamond drilling which tested gold targets along the Linear including, among others, the Dome, Road, Lotto and Keats/Baseline Prospects."
