Let's see if we get the Pirie and PC push

Let's see if we get the Pirie and PC push

Pirie vowed he’ll be a strong advocate for Timmins and Northeastern Ontario at Queen’s Park.

“That’s the job that I had as the mayor. I have to advocate for the City of Timmins. I really enjoy it. I love it. I will keep doing that.”

He has continued his messaging that emerged during his mayoral tenure, that Timmins is on the cusp of a population boom.

“I think that will make all the difference in changing the fortunes of the city of Timmins, and the north. As everyone knows, we’ve had a declining population for decades. We have to change that. We have to grow,” he said.

“We don’t need more taxes, we need more taxpayers. That is our challenge. We have got what the world needs, right here on our doorstep, and we have to seize it and make it happen.”
