RE:Dose of realityDose of reality? Man, for a guy that is constantly complaining that others post misinformation, you should take your own advice and read some news releases. The trial actually started Feb 7 2019. As per yesterday's NR and March 2022 Investor's Deck 6 of 7 patients have had a Cell Pouch implanted and 6 of 7 have had islets transplanted and 7th patient has been identified. The preliminary completion date obviously won't be met due to unforseeable complications like three patients not maintaining optimal immunosuppression (which has been resolved and per yesterday's NR, those patients can recieve FURTHER protocol-defined islet transplants). In actuality, there is a very good side to the trial moving slowly (as painful as that is for investors) in that Dr Witkowski has identified a number of ways to improve outcomes for trial patients. For example, replacing the patient's own plasma with serum as the islet suspension medium, decreasing the concentration of islet suspensions transplanted to Cell Pouch resulted in greater stimulated C-peptide, the Cell Pouch implantation procedure was optimized with two shorter incisions to minimize infection risk and enhance healing. As a result, ongoing patient outcomes will very likely get better and better. It is called learning. We have the world's premier expert in this field at the controls of the trial and he is seeing to it that the protocol(s) are being improved and tuned for optimal results for diabetics first. Sounds a lot better to me than rushing ahead and just doing the same thing to 7 patients and having less than optimal results for all 7. Dr Witkowski is obviously smarter than that and is going about the trial in such a way as to do everything possible to see that we come out of this trial with the "functional cure" diabetics, investors and the whole world wants.
I really do not understand you bio, you spend so much energy on here trying to put a negative spin on almost everything/anything Sernova does, you use childish name calling, ad hominem remarks and complain, bash and bellyache, yet you are still here, supposedly invested. You are probably going to say something like: "...when the SP hits X, I'm outta here", well, you have been saying that since the old 15-20 cent days, swearing you would be out if the stock ever managed to eclipse 30 cents. You regularly bragged that you actually had zero dollars invested in Sernova and were only riding out your "free" warrants, nothing whatsoever to lose. Yet, here you still are, day in, day out, complaining, griping and trying to cast Sernova in a bad light. Strange indeed.
Do us all a favor and take your own advice from last Thursday and hit the snooze button and check back in 6 months...better yet, make it a lot longer.
