Oncolytics Biotech Inc. is a clinical-stage biotechnology company. Oncolytics Biotech Inc. (ONCY-ONC) has accumulated 398 patents issued worldwide (415 in reality end of 2021) including 48 US and 21 Canadian, with over 21 more pending applications worldwide. The reovirus issued patent claims cover compositions of matter comprising reovirus (through 2028 and extendable to 2033), and all pharmaceutical uses of it. I would be curious which ones they lost recently. For sure all the trials in progress will be completed well before 2028....then I dont see why we should be worried about that and I don't see why they should extend it right now.
