I remember very well the 2008 crash (caused by financial institutions in the U.S.).
 
Already in the spring of 2009 there was a multitude of good solid canadian companies that were at bargain prices.
Already in the fall of 2009, Canadian banks had all recovered their losses from a year ago.
Spring 2009 was the beginning of a series of more than ten years where (without being an expert fund manager) I personally made very solid profits on the stock market.
