POC`s are just as much an attempt to prove something doesn`t work as proving it does.  Furthermore, as in this case they are not inexpensive. And DUH!, that is why you were made totally unaware of it`s existence during the time of it`s occurence. Failures are put on a back shelf never to be talked about. In fact, the world of innovation is more about failure than success.  Hence, if it was deemed a failure by all those engaged, you would never had heard about it. However, you and the "Who`s Who"s in the Tech world did indeed hear about it, and you are now on record as being the only person in the world that considers it is a dumb, non commercial idea that is just a waste of time.
