geodcan wrote: I re-read my post and it's true that it is written with my slant on it that Canopy will rebound.  With a full Monty pot legalization multistate bill passed, I believe that Canopy could hit it's old highs or higher and have said that many times.

I believe this because they don't have clear banking tools and borrowing tools that has their legitimate pot businesses running around like the Cartels and black market with bags full of cash.  Lots of US investors figured out how to buy shares in their pot companies and Canada's too, but a lot haven't broken bad and believe that the Feds could still queer the deal on letting the individual pro-pot States administer the justice.  Canadian LPs believe this and won't expose their shareholders to that risk until such time as this issue is cleared up.

For the record Canopy is making lots of inroads with several US based pot companies and Multi-State Operators.  Most notably Canopy picked Acreage Holdings which is considered a leading US MSO and several others who they have done branding deals with so that their brands will show up on US soil before they put down bricks and mortar and do their own manufacturing.  They will probably just buy their manufacturers, although I do believe that there will be a huge bottling facility in that 300k square foot plant being tweaked by Canopy in New York.

The whole stock market is suffering from the rudderless ship that is US politics and much to my dismay, marijuana stocks are leading the way, my guess is, because all of those pot hopefuls got away ahead of commonsense and too many showed up for the excitement and easy money they anticipated.

The measuring stick has changed from irrational exuberance that Canadian LPs, including Canopy benefited from with ridiculous valuations that took us to those amazing high shareprices.

When Canada went legal they wrote the legislation like they were unsure of what they were doing so left themselves with lots of "outs"!

The US has liberal enough rules that the States that are allowing legal adult use and medical use have  US MSOs that are showing profits for potpreneurs that are willing to navigate the legislation, permitting and inspections.

We even have some Canadian potpreneurs that are purported to be making money but again, I like the big and mighty, with professional management and deep pockets and the willingness to put it where their mouth is.

I have always tried to bring truth and good posts although I also bring the glass is half full approach or if I post negatively, it is to bring attention to management that they can do better.

I am not a professional, just an investor and this is just a positve view of a company that has been very successful for me.

I still have some shares of Canopy that are in the money but I positioned, hopefuly, for success with Acreage Holdings which is going to be Canopy Growth USA when US politicians get the work done or non US players decide to rely on the same State Law protection that US companies are building successful companies on.

Value added infused beverages is why Constellation is invested in Canopy and when they get a level playing field with beverage alcohol will generate good returns for marketshare grabbing formulations

Short term, Constellation may hurt a little but they are still paying dividends and have a marketcap of $45 billion or so.

This is why I made my investments in Canopy and Acreage but also have a couple of other company stocks that are going for cannabinoid infused beverages.  My largest is Tinley Beverages that is showing some life recently.

I don't agree, I am not a buyer though depending of the Senate vote.

Acreage holding revenue declined from the previous quarter. Even in the US, the competition is stiff. You can check by clicking the Financials tab above.
