RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Quote...I'm reluctant to be bothered with this, but it relates to my Dad and I'll set the record straight. He passed in December, 2017 at age 90. There was no funeral, nor a memorial service of any kind. My brother, sister and I talked and let it go, having no other choice.

Funerals were so important once upon a time, but no longer. Too expensive, I suspect. When I was in Vancouver a few years ago I bought the massive weekend edition of The New York Times. I saved it and, because it is a left-leaning publication, left instructions that upon my death, my survivors are to wrap me up in it and drag my remains out back of town in lieu of a funeral.
