Alamos Gold Inc. is an intermediate gold producer with diversified production from three operations in North America. The Young-Davidson mine is located near the town of Matachewan in Northern Ontario, Canada. The Mulatos mine is located in the Sierra Madre Occidental Mountain range in the east-central portion of the State of Sonora, Mexico. Its other projects are the Turkish Development Projects, the Quartz Mountain Gold Project, and Qiqavik Gold Project.

RE:Update...Island Gold Ore to Young-Davidson...My guess is that the trucking company didn't hedge its fuel costs and now can't perform at the contracted price.  Maybe they got a better offer to go to BC to help the major cleanup and rebuild of the roads and bridges damaged in the floods last year.

But my opinion is irrelevant.

If simple math were applied to the problem you would see there are only 3,445 recoverable ounces of gold if the rumored grade of 4 g/t is correct for the entire stockpile.
