additional drilling resultsMost of the holes today 74, 75,and 76 are from the southwest sector This sector encompasses true exploration within this project and hole 76 intercepted an encouraging 9m @ 3.96 g/t slightly deeper and further ( 50m) to the southwest . This mineralized structural corridor is open to depth and to the southwest . This hole sets up several potential new locations ( next phase) to determine the lateral southwest extent of this shallow dipping mineralized zone .The metal factor in hole 76 ( simply length x grade ) is 36 and offsets an historical hole with a metal factor of 57. The other two holes found only minor concentrations of gold but I understand more interval are to be released.
The other holes were drilled within the central corridor. Of interest is hole 67 - a deep extension of hole BO-16-59 which intersected 14m @2.44g/t . Hole 67 intersected the zone some 35 m deeper and thicker ( 18 m ) but the grade was reduced somewhat. ( 1.07g/t) Additional deeper drilling is required in this area to determine if the zone thickens further and to find the extension of higher grade mineralization. Once again in this area there is effectively no deep drilling and this corridor is wide open. The width is excellent - now vsr just needs to nail the higher grade ore shoots. The other hole ( 65) found a much thinner regional intercept of gold outside the corridor.
The remainder of the phase 1 drilling program occurs within the northeast sector ( the original discovery) This is primarily development drilling but at depth vsr is offestting historical holes containg 44m @ 1.92g/t and deep intercepts of 1.4g/t over 6.5m
In reveiw to date on phase 1:
THREE KEY DISCOVERIES hole 63 - second highest metal factor intercept in the entire project ( 110) and deep ( 320m) wide open high grade ore shoot ( 21m @ 5.23g/t) - central sector
Hole 76 - southwest shallow extension of 9.0m @ 3.96g/t open to the southwest and at depth. - southwest sector
Hole 67 - deep extension of hole BO -16 -59 ( 2.44g/t over 14m) hole 67 is thicker at 18m of 1.07g/t and is open laterally and at depth - central sector
All three holes will require several offset locations in phase 2
to date , hole 63 is the most significant and IMHO requires at least 6 offset locations!
AS I mentioned before - all holes will find gold in this project and so far three holes ( 63 ,67 and 76) are projecting substantial increases in reserves - very close to the milling facilities at Westwood ( SEE video!)
all looks good and people are warming up to the idea that maybe ( just maybe) vsr can supply additional feedstock to the Westwood mine
