Vulcan Minerals Inc. is a Canada-based precious and base metals exploration company, which is engaged in mineral exploration on properties in Newfoundland and Labrador. It also holds an interest in Atlas Salt Inc., which is carrying out a feasibility analysis on its Great Atlantic salt deposit in western Newfoundland, strategically located in the robust road de-icing market of eastern North America.

I know it seems nuts to me and I've been accumulating more shares in Vulcan throughout the recent market turmoil. I feel like even though Atlas still hasn't completed the Feasibility Study, the fact the Spinout is happening and that there is very little in the way of Great Atlantic being a) Bought out or b) Going to production as a premiere low cost salt producer is being completely and utterly discounted by the market.

On its own, Atlas Salt has a Market Cap right now of over $200 million. Vulcan has a 30% share of that, or $60 million.

Vulcan's market cap at current prices is $39 million...
