If you average down on margin, the price will go much, much lower.  There is a feedback loop of lower price, stop-loss orders, and closing of margin that can deal a tremendous loss in a short time.  In my experience, the time to sell is when I want to average down.

While I am almsot even on SU but margin is getting close. I decided to sell all of SU. I still made good money but not what I expected. GLTA.
