On top of that, I would add better risk distribution. If you own one clinic, your specific risk to the investment is higher than if you own twenty clinics.

Most companies that grow fast use the model of consolidating private owned assets from "small" owners (owning one or few locations) and consolidating them together.

Just look at ATD, that's how they initially grew so large.
