RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:OT -- Update on my wifeIn October 2017 she was diagnosed with stage IV ovarian cancer. To make it five years she was given a 5 to 10% chance. In 2019 she was told she would have 1 year left to live. We have kept fighting, but believe me it is not easy. We are exhausted.
We are very grateful for my wife to be able to receive this experimental medication, but this sponsor is super conservative and safety oriented. They required the patient to do a weekly blood test and physical assesment for the rest of the trial. For us it means driving to Detroit from Toronto and back once a week. But even for others living closer by, for patients who are so sick, it becomes a bit much. I have not seen this in any other trial. Usually, this is just for the first cycle.
