RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:OT -- Update on my wifeJuniper88 and his wife are indeed a great team and are an inspiration to any of us who may face enormous challenges, health or otherwise, in the future. I suspect Juniper88 would be quick to tell us how they could not have pulled off what they have already without their faith in Jesus as their Lord and Savior. As Juniper noted, my wife and I, along with our whole team at Stewardship Partners, have had the great blessing to be counted among the people offering prayer support for Juniper and his wife over at least the last couple of years and to see the Lord really answer those prayers when things were looking quite desperate at times. At the moment, it appears her cancer is finally starting to lose the battle and we continue to pray with the hope it will lose the war entirely before too much longer. I would encourage any who are like-minded about their faith to join the informal Juniper88 prayer team as the battle is exhausting for them, as he has said, and we have seen that prayer helps. In Exodus 17 the Israelites defeated their enemy as indicated in the following excerpt from that chapter.
So Joshua fought the Amalekites as Moses had ordered, and Moses, Aaron and Hur went to the top of the hill. As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning. When Moses’ hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up—one on one side, one on the other—so that his hands remained steady till sunset. So Joshua overcame the Amalekite army with the sword. So, let's figuratively hold up Juniper88's hands with prayer so cancer will keep losing and be totally defeated! As someone who just attended the Memorial Service of an aunt who died from cancer, and her son also perished from it about 7 months previously, I am tired of this nasty disease and am trusting and praying the early progress seen with Juniper88's wife will accelerate until she is cancer free. The core group of posters here has been together for a very long time. It would be great if our investment in TH, which has kept us in touch with one another and built some strong internet bonds among us, finally worked out. But I am sure each of us would quickly trade that for Juniper88's wife's cancer to be eradicated. Helping them practically is not something easily done given geographical distance (although there may be a way to do that in the future - I will let you know if so) but we can hold them up spiritually right now through prayer. The momentum is finally going Juniper88's wife way so let all of us who believe in the power of prayer help it to accelerate!
