The media "line" requires you look over the horizon that a "potential" slowdown will supress demand . All this doom and gloom plays well in low volume markets but look at the reality , where do you think the US would be without draining the SPR ? Cushing inventory is still draining and the market is barely keeping up despite the addition of 7M/wk SPR barrels .
The deniers keep denying which is more dangerous to the economy than Powell's rate hikes . The reality is the economy requires a secure , reliable supply of energy (O&G) , supply is finite and that fact is being ignored . The longer this energy ignorance persists , the deeper the impending crisis will be .
It's 4 weeks until Q2 gets announced so who knows what the market will do between now and then but those results will validate the plan and the future . The media needs to start acting responsibly , put the politic's aside and actually start telling the truth instead of pondering the end of the world .
