You're correct, in this era of anti oil the banks gladly provided the capital to Whitecap feeling safe with the future plans. They know the potential of the the acquired lands in prime locations, plus they could potentially sell some sections in the future to utilize core holdings. To produce 32,000 bpd equivalent today would cost multiple millions in drilling, infrastructure costs, not to mention there's no guarantee with drilling success. The future looks good for Whitecap, patience will be required.

Wildfury ...... you know It had crosssed my mind that Whitecap could sell something , even something on the substantial side , who knows , I don't know , but you know selling something that is not core , that there not in love with , and this would change the debt out look . Fast track things to there target
If prices stay elevated in mid 2023 we have less debt than we had at the beginning of covid , we own 4 more public companies more than we began along with 3 private companies .
So we potentially acquired all of these assets and we will have less debt ??
So tonnes of potential But I want to stress I see how some including me , liked what we had , liked that we were close to the goals stated
I said this when we did the bolt ons last November , prices however stayed high , there is a war , so now we have to all hope this cycle lasts , they say it should However you never know ??
