RE:A few from CEO boards about this GSVR acquisition Love this guy. Lex is one clever guy.
@lexcon https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gxd23UVID7k+ As Leonard Cohen said.. "Everybody knows that the dice are loaded, everybody rolls with their fingers crossed..." Is to me a perfect analogy of investing in the junior mining sector. It is very much like a casino, much of it is gambling, some big wins and lots of losses. But every now and then an established high roller walks up to the table, maybe a Friedland, or a Beatty, or one of the next generation building a name---maybe a James Anderson. And when they roll the dice it seems like the house set aside the loaded dice and let the high rollers play with legal dice-- let the probabilities follow their natural progression without an outsized advantage to the house. When you see the high roller at the table if you bet on them you are likely to walk away a winner as well. There could be many reasons for this, but this much is true, the names are well known and respected and followed. And when a high roller walks away from the table with a big win its a win for the roller, its a win for their followers and in the long run its a win for the casino as well, because when word gets around about the money to be made it brings in more fresh players to the casino to gamble away and take advantage of. I see investing in this sector much like the casino above--at the top of my list of criteria is management. Yes you need a resource or probable resource with the potential for size, but you also need management that either have shown or are showing they are managing the company to grow to its full potential. When you come across the right combination of management and resource potential those are the ones to be betting with. Even playing in a rigged game, with loaded dice you will win more than you lose. GSVR is my largest position, I started buying in 2 years ago based on the vision and drive (and business sense) James had...and it will continue to be while James, Ramone, and the rest of the team in Mexico continue to work toward unlocking the vast potential the ever expanding resources have to deliver. They just immediately increased the production rate---not in 6 months or a year, immediately to closing. They added key components that will allow them to grow further and continue to consolidate. Regardless of how the share price performs in the next week, the next month or the next quarter---we are building a mid-tier producer heading into the upcoming PM bull market. No place I'd rather be.
