I've sure been frustrated these last couple weeks, do I believe the narrative, fears of recession, well maybe it is looming. All I see is supply chain issues even still post COVID (vehicles/building supplies/almost everything....) and I see staffing shortages everywhere, and the places that do have staff seem to not know how to work or try to acquire your business anymore, I don't get it??? And forget about asking for a nice guy discount, everywhere I turn I get a "take it or leave it attitude". Just finding all this new post COVID atmosphere very debilitating to get anything done.
Seems like everyone wants to fly, all I hear is delays delays delays....
Meanwhile, the volitity on our sector I'm trying to understand, have the fundamentals changed somehow without my knowledge? Fine, Freeport LNG down till September and NG prices in NA relaxing from 9.00 to 6.00+ isn't as sexy for bottom lines but, are we not in a bull market still focused over the coming quarters on knocking down debt big time. Are we not getting closer to Canada LNG takeaway 2024? Hasn't demand increased along the ride, while companies still pledge returns to investors as opposed to "drill baby drill" capex?
why the hell is there (in a climate of all we care about is carbon reduction) firing up more Coal as an option? I thought that was "dirty energy"??
I just can't believe the global turmoil, everything is off its rocker. And, especially our fearless leaders, the worst policy makers in human history in my opinion.
Anyways, all in all, I still have to be long on Crew. Recession looming or not, the fundamentals just havent changed, and I just have to believe the market will have to appreciate the fundamentals. Maybe this winter??? Who knows....
Am I alone here? Board seems pretty quiet, maybe you all are more experienced than I, and are able to weather this better than me, but Extremely frustrated here......
