That's a good point actually. Now BNE is the forgotten stepchild. Funny how it goes.
I think they seriously need to lay out a plan for the market and is the least they can do for shareholders that have been loyal and beaten up for years now and it costs nothing to do it. This keeping cards "close to the chest" is ridiculous in my view and is one of the reasons why I call for a changing of the guard or a sale when pretty much every producer on the planet is talking about returning capital. A public company needs to communicate with shareholders not write cheap options for themselves as a poor performance reward. Phil with PNE communicated clearly what PNE was going to do before the actual dividend was implemented and look what happened to the share price. It was the right thing to do especially for shareholders that signed up for their original dividend business plan wayyyy back in 2012.
One thing I think is certain, if the dividend is weak, expect more market punishment if not a total walking of the plank.
